FAMILY RESIDENCE, Bogenhausen
The 230 m² residence was completed in a quiet part of Munich’s Bogenhausen neighborhood.
It is tailored to the needs of a family with two children and features a generous outdoor area that extends onto the neighboring property.
The complex geometry of the 550 m² site was resolved while preserving a century-old beech tree.
A recessed ground floor facilitates access to the double garage and balances the western boundary of the property.
Beneath the cantilevered upper floor, a covered entrance with a light-filled gallery welcomes visitors.
The open-plan living area flows seamlessly into the dining space and kitchen.
Private retreats on the upper floor are arranged around the gallery corridor, while the basement houses a wellness area with guest rooms.
Strategically placed ceiling and roof openings guide natural daylight through the house, emphasizing the three-dimensionality of the spaces.
Warm tones and natural materials – including solid oak floors, Wachenzeller dolomite, and dark bronze accents – define the interior.
Subtle colors, delicate textures, and custom-made furniture create a balanced sense of elegance and comfort.
The south-facing solid construction was realized as a low-energy house with heat pump technology, solar collectors, and intelligent building management.
The integration of photovoltaics and e-mobility ensures sustainable and future-proof living.
