Penthouse apartment in the historic attic
This project is dedicated to the attic conversion of a historic building, involving extensive structural renovation. Two apartments have been merged into a spacious unit, with special attention given to optimizing the layout to create a seamless and harmonious living experience.
The floor plan has been designed with an open spatial arrangement, characterized by expansive sightlines. Natural brightness is skillfully captured to create an atmospheric sense of spaciousness.
The design follows a minimalist aesthetic, featuring clean lines and a sincere emphasis on functional details.
The color palette inside the building is calm and understated. Gentle shades of white create a subtle atmosphere, while targeted accents of brass and oiled oak add a warm and organic touch. These materials seamlessly integrate into the overall concept and highlight the carefully selected details.
Particular attention has been given to the design of the children’s room, which is connected to a staircase cabinet with an integrated learning gallery. This thoughtful element, executed with high-quality craftsmanship and simple elegance, creates an inspiring atmosphere. It not only provides practical storage space but also offers an organized and aesthetically pleasing environment for the young resident.
As the centerpiece of the apartment, the open-plan kitchen shines, skillfully highlighted by a glazed lava stone countertop. This area serves as the lively focal point of the living space and invites social gatherings.
Overall, the design of the apartment embodies a timeless style. The clever integration of functional elements with a serene design language creates a living concept that offers a harmonious and modern experience.
